BOGE, Brexit and Stockpiling

Wednesday, May 1. 2019

As uncertainty over Brexit and Theresa May’s premiership continues, many of the UK’s residents have begun stockpiling many of the essential (and non-essential items).
Brexit

Countries that make up the UK, are acting similarly. In Northern Ireland, for example, there are plans to recall thousands of electricity generators from military forces as far reaching as Afghanistan. The generators will be aboard barges on the coasts of Belfast Lough and Antrim and are there to replace electricity supplies if needed. However, this is only in the event that the Republic withdraws from Irelands shared energy market.

Some may say that stockpiling promotes scaremongering, particularly in this fragile political climate. Some believe that stockpiling is smart potential of an apocalypse or natural disaster.  And we here at BOGE just believe it is good business practice.

Manufacturing is incredibly reliant on the supply chain, which is why smart inventory is increasingly important. It avoids disruption the supply chain, warehousing retail operations and can even be cost effective.

Everyone is feeling the effects of Brexit, from politicians to business managers but even your machines can come under pressure. At peak times, a stressed machine can operate poorly and effect your whole operation.

From services and maintenance, we’ve got you covered 24/7. We’ve got what you need from air compressors, Easifit pipes and even lube cubes (should this be tm?). Our quality manufacturing can not only keep your air supply clean but keep your business running smoothly.

We pride ourselves on our customer service and customer satisfaction. We’re here to support you through your air compressor needs; rain, snow, Brexit and who knows, maybe even apocalypses.
